NEXT WOW MEETING October 27th, 2008 OK for the 12th. Mostly outdoors affair. In place there is a
big banquet style table and plenty of extension cords. Plenty
of parking and a roomy backyard. If everyone brings a chair (BYOC
& BYOB) we'll be good. FF2BYL1's/BFF (feel free to bring your
loved ones or best friends forever (must take them with you at
end of party).

Lakes Leg Aches
on 8/2/08 is ride benefits Lutheran Community Services, a
wonderful nonprofit that serves victims of abuse and trauma in
our community. Our own Christie McKee is the event organizer.

Great Northwest Fall
Tour The date is August 31 and will include 15, 30, 50 and 85 mile rides as in the past. The proceeds will benefit the Newport/Oldtown Rotary Club that is involved in many local and international projects. September 6th The
Centennial Bike Ride is sponsored by Genesis Institute, Inc., a
non profit organization providing family and The
bike ride is on the Centennial trail from Mirabeau Point Trail
head to the state line outlet mall. There is a 25 mile option or
a 50 mile option, with food/rest stops at both ends. The ride is
intended to be a family friendly ride, so children are welcome.
The date of the ride is September 6th. Check in starts at 7:30
am, with the 50 mile ride starting at 8 am and the 25 mile ride
starting at 9. There are two options for this ride. One is to
pay a riders fee of $35 which includes the ride, a t-shirt and
the barbeque following the ride. Or, the other option is to
raise donations by soliciting individuals or companies to
sponsor you in the ride. A $250 dollar total amount per rider is
suggested and that gets the rider a t-shirt and lunch.
